When I first witnessed the nerve-wrecking E3 gameplay trailer of Days Gone in 2016, I was more than confident that it would be a game definitely worth playing. On the first booting of the game three years later, I was introduced to a 2-minute load time. That load time was a bad omen, but thankfully, as much as other reviews out there are saying how much of a rough ride Days Gone has been, it’s not all that bad.

After completing Devil May Cry 5 three times (Which is a REALLY low amount of times you’re supposed play through the game for), I was 100% convinced that DMC5 takes cues from the more successful Playstation 2 predecessor Devil May Cry 3. The game is, like in 3 (and even in comparison to 4), nonsensically compelling and addictive to boot.

When I started playing Jump Force, I found myself whipping my phone out and checking social media very regularly. Not that because the game wasn’t interesting, but more because of the long and frequent loading times. By the time I engaged myself in a handful of fighting sequences, I already felt like I was finished with experiencing everything the game has to offer (with the clear knowledge that I wasn’t even done with the whole thing.).

Spider-Man’s Silver Lining is the final instalment of the three-part DLC series The City that Never Sleeps. Although the DLC may feel somewhat shorter than the previous ones, it proved to bring a fitting end for the series, and set up for the sequels to come for the franchise.

When I paid SGD$20 for Hollow Knight, I was not aware of what I signed myself up for. For what I thought would be a less than 10-hour experience of a gloomy-cute-looking Metroidvania game, turned to an approximate 24-hour gameplay of souls-like boss fights, challenging platforming, and an existential-philosophical reflection of life and death, light and dark.

Spider-Man’s Turf Wars is the next instalment of the DLC series The City that Never Sleeps and, unlike its previous DLC chapter, takes a darker turn in its storytelling. It brings nothing new to the table in terms of gameplay, but it will keep you at the edge of your seat, causing you to look forward  into finishing the story come December.

After the credits rolled, I got the feeling that The Quiet Man was Square Enix and Human Head Studio’s attempt to revive a beat ‘em up subgenre like the first Playstation’s Jackie Chan Stuntmaster or Shiny Entertainment’s Enter the Matrix – games that were lost in translation as the industry went into focusing on mainstream AAA game types. I was also torn between deciding if the intent of developing the game with that very purpose justified its creative direction.

Spider-Man’s The Heist is the first chapter of the three-part DLC saga The City that Never Sleeps – So when you play the game expect something of a cliff-hanger. Like the original game, the DLC hinges a lot on its story, but it doesn’t shine with anything new in its gameplay.
